An incredible mid-century piece of workwear has been brought back to life, thanks to this incredible collection from Lee Archives! Cut from a 13.5oz ‘Hickory Stripe’ denim, this wide leg, high rise model would have originally been worn by rail road workers on the West Coast, with a shape which allowed for superb breathability, and a stripe which offered better visibility. A tool pocket can be found on the right thigh, while two large bell shaped pockets have been added to the back, conjuring a style which has become so iconic to this day.
Donut buttons adorn the fly opening, with the waistband button branded with ‘Unionalls Lee’ for an extra touch of period correct detail. Domed rivets have been used at all stress points, while flat felled seams are present throughout, to ensure that this trouser is just as hard wearing as it can possibly be. As a final touch of quality assurance, a rayon brand patch sits on the waistband, in paired back, iconic detail.
